I made a lot of these dishrags from t-shirt scraps. Red was a mistake though because it bled all over for the first few weeks it was in use. The other colors performed much better! These are double sided with pin-tucked centers. The tucks create ridges for scrubbing.

I made a bunch of these pretty totes for my mother out of an old sheet. I incorporated the decorative lace trim of the sheet in the design and got about 6 bags from it.
These worked up fast but turned out a bit wonky. I think I may have worked too fast. And these are so tiny! The other booties posted were 6 months size and these are newborn. I put a penny in the picture so you can see how small and cute they are!

If you cut open your old athletic socks, trim to squares or rectangles and sew 4 pieces together you’ll get some very useful cleaning cloths out of them! These were made with hidden seams and top-stitched to control lint. And they work great!

This was a gift for my sister in law almost three years ago. I recycled a vintage dress and blue t-shirt for these:
This week I copied a pattern out of a library book (“Beautiful things to make for baby”) to make my first ever pair of baby booties. It was incredibly difficult using a standard sewing machine to sew around the tiny little curves. I had to handstitch some and the topstitching is messy but overall I think they turned out cute! I’m planning to make two more pairs to give to another expectant mommy as a gift.
